Well-fitting three-dimensional gathers which match different body shapes are formed by three-dimensional gathers in a left and a right set which have different cross-sectional shapes in each of the fluid discharge region and the back end region. Three-dimensional gathers (BS) are provided, wherein a sheet extending from the side to the center is folded in four by a second folded-back section (33) and a third folded-back section (34) from a first folded-back section (32) which is folded back to the side at the center position, and the sheet has a first folded-back surface (35), a second folded-back surface (36), a third folded-back surface (37), and a fourth folded-back surface (38) from the lower layer side. In the specified lengthwise direction range which includes the body fluid discharge region (H) of an absorbent article, at least the third folded-back surface (37) and the fourth folded-back surface (38) stand with a roughly "<"-shaped cross-section, and are connected to each other from the second folded-back surface (36) up to the fourth folded-back surface (38) in the back end region, standing in an inclined line shape with the first folded-back section (32) as the standing point. |
