<p>Provided are a mold for foam molding, capable of sufficiently preventing formation of burrs on a molded product, and a foam molding method. A packing fitting groove (6) is formed in a joint surface (3a) of a lower mold (3) so as to extend along and surround a cavity (7). The groove (6) has a deep groove section (6a) deeply recessed from the joint surface (3a) and also has a shallow groove section (6b) adjacent on the cavity (7) side to the deep groove section (6a) and connected to the deep groove section. The width (a) of that portion of the joint surface (3a) which is closer to the cavity (7) than the groove (6) is in the range from 0.1 mm to 10 mm. Packing (5) is provided with a base section (5a) inserted in the deep groove section (6a) and with a protruding section (5b) connecting to the base section (5a) and engaging with the shallow groove section (6b).</p>
