<p>Enlarging of the apparatus in the axial direction is restricted, and the occurrence of operating defects in the brake release mechanism is also restricted. The components are a regular brake means (12), a push rod (13), a spring brake means (14), and a brake release mechanism (15). Brake release mechanism (15) has a piston rod (28), a ring member (29), an engaging member (30), and a holding member (31). An engaging groove (33) is formed in the side face of piston rod (28) that transmits an energizing force from spring brake means (14) to push rod (13). Multiple inclined grooves (37) are formed in concentric circles in ring member (29), which is disposed to be able to rotate on the outside, in the radial direction, of piston rod (28). Engaging member (30) is disposed in inclined grooves (37) to be able to engage in engaging groove (33). Holding member (31) holds engaging member (30) to permit movement in the radial direction and limit movement in the axial direction.</p> |
