<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To an edge extractor which reduces detection of noise other than the outline of an object and to improve its operability. <P>SOLUTION: The edge extractor includes: an edge detection part for performing edge detection by calculating edge intensity from an image; a labeling processing part for performing labeling processing to the edge detected by the edge detection part and obtaining the edge length; an edge enhancement processing part for performing enhancing processing of the edge by a value associating the edge length obtained by the labeling processing part with the edge intensity calculated by the edge detection part; and an edge extraction part for applying binarization processing by an adjustable threshold to an image enhanced by the edge enhancement processing part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
