<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce thermal deformation of support bases due to rising in temperature in a pickup frame. <P>SOLUTION: The pickup frame 8 is used for an optical pickup apparatus having a light-emitting element 11 and an optical processing part 17 processing light from the light-emitting element, and is provided with an optical base 30, a first support base 32, a second support base 34, a first regulation part 36, and a second regulation part 38. The optical base is made from metal, and supports the light-emitting element and the optical processing part. The first support base is made of synthetic resin, and supports the first end side in the direction of X-axis of the optical base. The second support base is made of synthetic resin, and provided apart from the first support base to support the second end side in the direction of X-axis of the optical base. A first regulation part is provided at a first support base and regulates movement of the first support base in a direction other than the direction of Y-axis.
