<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming apparatus which reduces effects of an external force that acts on optical scanner. <P>SOLUTION: A casing 56 of the optical scanner 54 is attached to an apparatus body with the casing 56 held in a protecting box 70. The external force generated in attaching to the protecting box 70 and is prevented from directly acting on the casing 56. Distortion of the casing 56 by the external force generated during attachment is thus reduced, and positional shift of an optical part etc. in the casing 56 is suppressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
