<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image encoding device which significantly reduces data capacity while minimizing deterioration in picture quality in encoding an image, and to provide an image encoding method, an image encoding program, and a recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: A first mask image is generated by enlarging a first area including a predetermined element in an area-separated image, and a select image is generated including a first area obtained by reducing the first area in the first mask image and a second area other than the reduced area in the first mask image. A second mask image is generated by enlarging the second area in the select image; and a first reproduction image is generated by using an image which corresponds to the first area in the first mask image among images to be processed, and a second reproduction image is generated using an image which corresponds to the second area in the second mask image among images to be processed, thereby generating first encoded data generated by encoding the first reproduction image and second encoded data generated by encoding the second reproduction image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
