<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jack device having a simple and inexpensive structure and can hold a state lifting a heavy article even if a worker does not add force. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The jack device 10 includes a lever member 14 connecting a first rod-shaped part 20 and a second rod-shaped part 22 in an L-shape; a lifting member 16 which is shorter than the first rod-shaped part 20, provided with an engaging portion 34 at one end portion, and mounted to an end portion on the first rod-shaped part side of the lever member 14 at the other end so as to swivel about a swiveling shaft 40; and a wheel 32 mounted to a connecting portion between the first rod-shaped part 20 and the second rod-shaped part 22 and capable of rotating about a rotating shaft 30. The wheel 32 is mounted on the lever member 14 so as to make a rotating shaft 30 of the wheel 32 come close to a heavy article rather than the engaging portion 34, when an end portion of the second rod-shaped part 22 is pressed downward to make the wheel 32 come close to the heavy article while the engaging portion 34 is engaged with a bottom portion of the heavy article.
