<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-shielding device capable of stopping a screen at any position in a simple structure having no adjustment rope. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the light-shielding device, an urging means for always giving urging force in an unwinding direction relative to the screen 111 is attached on a screen rolling-up unit 11. At both sides of a distal end part of the screen 111, slides 13 slid/guided to a rail 12 are retained, and a lock mechanism L capable of locking the respective slides 13 to an optional position in resistant to the urging force is provided between the respective slides 13 and the rail 12. The lock mechanism L is automatically lock-released to enable drawing out or unwinding operation of the screen in the state that operation input confronting to the urging force is applied to the distal end part of the screen, and automatically becomes in the lock state by the urging force and can retain the screen to an optional drawing out position in the state that the operation input is not applied to the distal end part of the screen.
