<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for manufacturing a liquid crystal display panel for aligning a pair of substrates for the liquid crystal display panel by bringing an upper stage sufficiently close to a lower stage holding the substrates, before bonding the pair of substrates mutually. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this manufacturing device for the liquid crystal display panel, the lower stage holding the first substrate on which liquid crystals are dropped in a region surrounded by a frame-like seal and the upper stage holding and sucking the second substrate to be bonded on the first substrate by electrostatic power are provided opposite to each other, and an outer periphery of the second substrate sucked and held on the upper stage is pulled upward when bringing the upper stage close to the lower stage up to the predetermined distance to align the first and second substrates with each other.
