<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit degradation in image quality caused by light reaching a peripheral circuit unit other than a photoreceptive unit in an optical device such as an image sensor, etc. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A semiconductor substrate 3 includes a photoreceptive unit 1 provided with a plurality of photoreceptors 1a, and a peripheral circuit unit 2 disposed around the photoreceptive unit 1. On the surface of the semiconductor substrate 3, a light entry device 4 is provided in an area corresponding to the photoreceptive unit 1.
