The present invention relates to an alarm clock capable of waking users from sleep in an effective manner, wherein the alarm clock has a key fitted to a key hole such that the preset time alarm sound is stopped when the key is pushed and rotated in the keyhole. The alarm clock has a device for locking a cover for a time and alarm time set unit and a battery insertion unit to prevent users from changing the time or removing the battery to stop the alarm sound when it is set in the alarm mode. The alarm clock is configured such that the cover cannot be opened by the user when the clock is set in the alarm mode, and the cover locking device is unlocked when the alarm mode is cancelled so that the user may open the cover and change the time and alarm time and replace the battery. |
