The system has a reformer (10) with first reaction zone (12) to which fuel (14) and oxidant (16) can be fed, a second reaction zone (18) to which product gas and oxidant can be fed from the first reaction zone and an arrangement (22,24) for carrying away reaction heat generated in the first reaction zone before the product gas enters the second reaction zone. An independent claim is also included for a method of converting fuel and oxidant to reformat. |
