PURPOSE: A device and a method for providing SDU(Standard audio Data where the auditory ability of the User is reflected) are provided to allow the user to listen to the audio data in the optimum condition. CONSTITUTION: A device for providing standard audio data comprises an SDU control module(101) which generally controls production and provision process of standard audio data which reflects user's auditory ability, an SDU producing module(104) which produces SDU by raising or lowering the volume level of TDU(Test Data where the auditory ability of the User is reflected) according to the standard auditory curve, an SDU output module(109) which is controlled by the SDU control module to equalize the volume level of the corresponding audio data based on SDU in an audio data output mode, and a noise correction module(105) which raises the volume levels of the TDU and SDU based on a noise standard curve according to the ISO standard.
