Disclosed is a camcoder which can dub letter informations only. The camcoder comprises a control means which recognizes an input of letter information to be recorded and converts a conventional control pulse into data that shows letter information and outputs and recognizes a letter information display signal to an OSD IC by recognizing the data showing the letter information, a control head which records the data sowing letter information output from the control means and reads, a wave fixing means which performs a wave fixing on the data showing letter information, and an integral means which performs integral of the data showing letter information output from the wave fixing means and applies the integrated data to the control means by the conventional control pulse. Thus, the dubbing of letter signal onto the video signal is possible.
