<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide optimum performance by changing a clock of an information processing apparatus according to an operating environment and an application. <P>SOLUTION: A clock control method is provided for calculating a CPU activity ratio for each application and setting a clock frequency by a sum total of each CPU activity ratio calculated based on each clock frequency obtained by registering the clock required for executing a plurality of applications for each application. In the clock control method, an alarm for information processing apparatus upgrade is transmitted when the frequency of the determined clock frequency exceeds the maximum clock frequency increases. Also, the optimum performance of the information processing apparatus is provided by changing one of the clock frequency at which the application works comfortably, the clock frequency that is minimally required for operating the application, and the clock frequency adapted to the state of the operating environment of the information processing apparatus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
