PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate making the yawing motion of a vehicle expected by steering a steering wheel by a driver coincident with the actual yawing motion of the vehicle. SOLUTION: A steering shaft 3 integrally bonded to the steering wheel 2 of the electric power steering device 1 is connected to a pinion shaft 7 of a turning mechanism through a steering angle ratio variable device 4. The pinion shaft 7 is connected to a rack 8 of the turning mechanism and left and right front wheels 10, 10 are connected to both ends of the rack 8 through a tie rod 9. The steering angle ratio control device 12 controls a steering angle ratio of a turning angle relative to the steering angle such that a yaw rate gain becomes approximately one, and the steering angle ratio variable device 4 is controlled based on a steering angle ratio signal input from the steering angle ratio control device 12.
