PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic water faucet provided with an infrared human body detection sensor capable of making a water discharge pipe thinner, miniaturizing it, improving quality of design satisfactorily, damping infrared ray in a bent part of optical fiber, and preventing precision in human body detection from becoming worse. SOLUTION: In this automatic water faucet 10, a sensor body 41 provided with a light emitting element, a light receiving element, and a sensor circuit is provided in the inside of a seating part 14 on a counter part 18 of the water discharge pipe 30, an optical fiber 44 for projecting light and an optical fiber 46 for receiving light are extended up to a tip section through the inside of the water discharge pipe 12 from the light emitting element and the light receiving element, and a tip of the optical fiber 44 for projecting light and a tip of the optical fiber 46 for receiving light are constituted as a light projecting part and a light receiving part, respectively.
