<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently radiate the heat produced by the electric circuit provided in an endoscope. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A circuit board unit 40 is provided in an endoscope. The circuit board unit 40 is equipped with the first and second circuit boards 23 and 24, the first and second radiating insulating layers 47 and 48 and a metallic heat sink 58. The electric circuit 24 is attached to the respective mutually opposed one sides 23A and 24A of the circuit boards 23 and 24. The first and second radiating insulating layers 47 and 48 overlie one sides 23A and 24A with the electric circuit 25 embedded in the insulating layers 47 and 48. The metallic heat sink 58 is arranged between the radiating insulating layers 47 and 48 and a through-hole 41 is formed in the metallic heat sink 58. The through-hole 41 is used as a part of a pipeline for sending water or air to the leading end part of the endoscope from the main body of the endoscope and the electric circuit 25 is cooled by the fluid flowing through the through-hole 41.
