The screw has a spindle nut (1) supported on a threaded spindle (2) using balls, and a stop unit (6) for end positioning of the spindle nut opposite to the threaded spindle. The stop unit has two stop parts (7, 8) that act together in a circumferential direction, where the stop part (7) is designed as a plastic part and attached to the threaded spindle. The stop part (8) is attached to the spindle nut in an immovable manner, where the spindle nut rotates in the direction of a radial rim (4) under relative movement between the threaded spindle and the spindle nut. An independent claim is also included for a method for determining an end position of a spindle nut.
