<p>The present invention relates to a leash (1) for domestic animals, which comprises: a mounting body (2) intended to be gripped manually in order to restrain an animal; at least one flexible elongate element (3) which has a first end (4) for securing the animal and a second end connected to the mounting body (2); and a grip (10) provided on the mounting body (2). This leash (1) is characterized in that the mounting body (2) extends along at least one main pulling axis (X) with a first outer peripheral wall (5) and with a second outer peripheral wall (6) situated opposite each other and connected by a front wall (8) from which the elongate element (3) extends. The grip (10) is also defined by means of at least one first portion (11) provided on the first outer peripheral wall (5) and shaped so as to support the palm and/or thumb of the hand (7) and by means of at least one second portion (12) provided on the second outer peripheral wall (6) and shaped to support the fingers of the hand (7).</p>
