摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an MFI zeolite membrane with variable thickness whose b-axes are all oriented perpendicular to a substrate; and a method for producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: This invention relates to the MFI zeolite membrane with variable thickness, which is uniformly oriented in b-axis on a substrate and a method for producing the same. The method for producing the zeolite includes the step of forming zeolite or zeotype molecular sieve seed crystals with different thicknesses on a substrate and adding the seeded substrate to gel for the synthesis of an MFI zeolite containing a structure-directing agent to grow MFI zeolite or zeotype molecular sieve crystals thereon. The MFI zeolite with variable thickness, which is uniformly oriented in the b-axis direction overcomes the limitations of prior art zeolite membranes to maximize its applicability. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p>
