<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detoxifying dioxins-containing incineration ash and an apparatus therefor which are low in equipment and operating cost, and do not use a large amount of energy. <P>SOLUTION: The method for detoxifying dioxins-containing incineration ash comprises a first process of accommodating a material 23 to be treated comprising the dioxins-containing incineration ash 21 and vegetable materials 22 to be carbonized, in a processing chamber 11, a second process of heating until the spontaneous thermal decomposition of the vegetable materials 22 to be carbonized contained in a part of the material 23 to be treated starts, and a third process of controlling the amount of air supplied into the processing chamber 11 to gradually expanding the thermal decomposition of the vegetable materials 22 to be carbonized starting in a part of the material 23 to be treated into the vegetable material 22 contained in the remainder of the material 23 to be treated, and keeping the inside of the processing chamber 11 in an reducing atmosphere at 900°C or higher and 1,100°C or lower for 15 hours or more and 24 hours or less, thereby thermally decomposing dioxins contained in the incineration ash 21 while converting the vegetable materials 22 to be carbonized into carbonized materials. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
