<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanical fastener device having a fixing mechanism for retaining the fastener device in the closed position during surgery, and to provide a mechanical fastener device capable of applying a medicine or treatment substance to a tissue during the surgery. <P>SOLUTION: A serrated fastener comprises: upper and lower legs each having a line of teeth, each of which has a proximal face and a distal face; a fixing member extending in the longitudinal axis direction; and holes formed on the proximal surfaces and the distal surfaces of the teeth, respectively, and having a prescribed diameter and sufficient size to permit passage of the fixing member passing through inside. In the fastener, the upper leg or lower leg is movable from the opened position to the closed position. At the time, all the holes are aligned in the longitudinal axis direction and the fixing member passes through the holes of the teeth in the upper and lower legs, so that the fastener can be retained in the closed position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
