<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bag manufacturing and packaging machine capable of avoiding collision at a high speed of a horizontal seal auxiliary member, and well performing bag manufacturing. <P>SOLUTION: The bag manufacturing and packaging machine which forms a cylindrical packaging material while the packaging material is conveyed, and fills an article to be packaged into the cylindrical packaging material, is equipped with a pair of horizontal sealing members coming into contact with the cylindrical packaging material from both sides of the cylindrical packaging material to seal the cylindrical packaging material, a pair of horizontal sealing auxiliary members positioned upstream or downstream of a pair of the horizontal sealing members in the conveying direction, and earlier coming into contact with the cylindrical packaging material than a pair of the horizontal sealing members to suppress biting the article to be packaged to a part to be sealed of the cylindrical packaging material, a cam having a cam face and enabling the horizontal movement of a pair of the horizontal sealing auxiliary members along the cam face, a cam follower coming into contact with the cam face, and a linking mechanism for linking the cam follower with a pair of the horizontal sealing auxiliary members.
