PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve ensuring of residents' health and comfort or improvement in habitability, securement of energy saving property, and further an extended life of a building, particularly, a wooden one. SOLUTION: The ventilation structure for building includes: an intake port for taking outside air into a building; an air supply shaft connected to the intake port and substantially vertically extending from an attic to an underfloor space; and an exhaust means for mechanically exhausting indoor air through an air supply outlet of the air supply shaft and an air return port provided within each room. Outdoor air is introduced into the air supply shaft through the intake port by an indoor negative pressure to be supplied to an indoor space, a ceiling sleeve or the underfloor space through the air supply outlet provided in the air supply shaft, and the air supplied to the indoor space is thereafter forcedly discharged to the outside by a third-class mechanical ventilation device that is the exhausting means through the air return port provided within the room, while the air supplied to the ceiling sleeve between floors or the underfloor space is collected by an attic ventilation device provided in the attic through a wall internal communication layer, and forcedly discharged to the outside.
