PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food-washing apparatus which can largely improve a refuse-removing ability in a simple structure, and can surely guide refuses and the like floated on water on the side opposite to an overflow port to the overflow port to reduce the residues of the floated refuses and the like. SOLUTION: The food-washing apparatus is constituted by disposing a cylindrical press net 6 in a lower portion-submerged state that washing object foods H under transfer in a washing route 23 are pressed from the upper side to submerge in the water, forming an overflow port 25 for draining the water in a filtration water tank 40 in the sidewall 2a of a washing water tank 2 on the opening side of the cylindrical press net, attaching a mesh plate 7 in the cylindrical press net, and disposing a water guide plate 76 for guiding water received on the mesh plate together with the floated refuses and the like to the opening side of the cylindrical press net to form a water flow toward the overflow port.
