PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic sensor can prevent the occurrence of a blind spot where a moving object is not detected in a vehicle, by changing the transmission direction of an ultrasonic wave without changing the shape of the area around where the body of the sensor is disposed. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic sensor includes a transmission means for transmitting an ultrasonic wave, a wave receiving means for receiving the reflected wave of the transmitted ultrasonic wave and a sensor body 1 having a sound wave emitting opening 1a for holding the transmission means and the wave receiving means, and for taking out the ultrasonic wave transmitted from the transmission means to outside, wherein the sensor body is disposed so that an opening 21a disposed on a second wall face 21 of a ceiling 2 consisting of a first wall face 20 and the second wall face 21 bent so as to form an obtuse angle each other, and the sound wave emitting opening 1a are connected and the wavelength of the ultrasonic wave to be transmitted is set longer than the distance between the bend of the first wall face 20 and second wall face 21, and the sound wave emitting opening 1a.
