PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking brake system capable of enhancing drivability by relieving a burden onto a driver. SOLUTION: It is determined whether or not a detection signal is output from a throttle sensor 13 (S1). When it is determined that the detection signal is output (YES), an actuator 11 is turned off and the parking brake device 12 is turned off (S2). In S1, when it is determined that a detection signal is not output from the throttle sensor 13 (NO), the step moves to S3. When a detection signal from a position sensor 14 is on, the step moves to S2 to turn off the parking brake device 12. When the detection signal is off, that is, when rotation of golf cart wheels stop, the step move to S4 to turn on the actuator 11 and the parking brake device 12 and pull an arm of a brake pedal, thus braking the wheels, relieving a burden onto a driver, such as fatigue of the driver, without need for manually using the parking brake device, and enhancing drivability.
