<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic motor driving device which attains a desired camera-shake correction function by suppressing the adverse effect on camera-shake amount detection accuracy caused by noise sources existing inside/outside an imaging apparatus having a camera-shake correction function using an ultrasonic motor. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The ultrasonic motor driving device driving the ultrasonic motors 10A and 10B relatively moving movable bodies 5A and 5B supported by a fixed base 3 with respect to the fixed base 3 includes: a position sensor 13 detecting the relative position relation between the fixed body 3 and the movable bodies 5A and 5B; an angular velocity sensor 15 detecting the angular velocities of the fixed body 3 and the movable bodies 5A and 5B; and a processing circuit unit 17 judging whether or not the fixed body 3 and the movable bodies 5A and 5B are in a fixed state, based on output signals from the position sensor 13 and the angular velocity sensor 15 and performing control to stop the driving of the ultrasonic motors 10A and 10B, when it is judged that the fixed body 3 and the movable bodies 5A and 5B are in the fixed state.
