PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire for heavy load to improve durability by suppressing fretting wear occurred between a steel cord body in a reinforced cord used for a carcass layer and a wrapping filament. SOLUTION: The reinforced cord 4 constituting the carcass layer includes the steel cord body composed of a plurality of steel filaments 4a, 4b and 4c, and the wrapping filament 4Z spirally wound around the steel cord body.
