PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a predistorter adaptable to variation of input signal state and of the characteristics of a circuit to be compensated without varying the calculation quantity necessary to generate a predistortion signal. SOLUTION: The predistorter comprises a signal generation circuit 11, sampling delay signal generators 12(x), and a control circuit 14. The control circuit 14 generates a selected polynomial constituted by sampling delay signals D(x) that are delayed respectively by delay quantities expressed by real numbers from the sampling delay signal generators 12(x), and generates a signal generation polynomial E by optimizing the coefficient of each term of the selected polynomial so as to minimize distortion of the output signal F by comparing the input signal A and the output signal F.
