PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stainless steel sheet having excellent weld zone toughness and suitable as the material for the body of a rail wagon carrying coal and iron ore, and to provide a weld structure using the steel sheet. SOLUTION: The stainless steel has a composition containing, by mass, 0.01 to 0.10% C,≤1.0% Si, 1.0 to 2.0% Mn, 10 to 15% Cr, 0.3 to 1.0% Ni, 0.1 to 0.5% Ti and 0.01 to 0.03% N, and further satisfying Ti/(C+N)≥3 and F value=Cr+2×Si+4×Ti-2×Ni-Mn-30×(C+N)≤11, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities.
