The present invention relates to a variable plate forming apparatus in which a plurality of vertical forming punches are arrayed. The variable plate forming apparatus is characterized in that each of the forming punches comprises a punch head, a hollow outer member having an internal screw thread, and an inner member having an external screw thread and inserted in and fastened to the outer member, either the outer member or the inner member is connected to the punch head, the other is connected to a rotation shaft, and the variable plate forming apparatus comprises at least one punch adjustment motor that can be engaged with the rotation shaft of each forming punch to provide torque. The variable plate forming apparatus of the present invention, which is configured in the way described hereinabove, is suitable for forming plates of different types and small lots and is advantageous in that it is capable of stably forming plates of various sizes and thicknesses due to its greatly increased load supporting ability.
