Provided is an object with a photo-catalyst coating which demonstrates harmful-gas-degrading properties while preventing deterioration of the base material over a prolonged period.  Said object comprises a base material, an intermediate layer established on said base material and a photo-catalyst layer established on the intermediate layer.  The photo-catalyst layer contains photo-catalyst particles comprising metal oxide which are excited by ultraviolet radiation.  The intermediate layer contains weather-resistant resin and a hydroxyphenyltriazine compound.
