<p>The present invention discloses a new assembly and practical application of a universal sample preparation method for desorption ionization mass spectrometry, especially for desorption electrospray ionization-MS. The sample preparation method is based on the adsorption of the analyte molecules on solid phase extraction (SPE) packing and the elution of the analyte onto the membrane which seals the packing. Thus, matrix interference is eliminated, and the analyte molecules are concentrated on the confined surface of the closing membrane of the SPE packing. The sample preparation method of the present invention can be implemented for high-throughput analysis.</p> |
