PURPOSE: A digital video recorder capable of outputting various images by picture-in-picture is provided to monitor multiple locations through a single monitor. CONSTITUTION: Each image outputted from multiple cameras(100) is multiplexed to generate a single image frame by an image multiplexing unit(200). A recording/playing control unit(300) performs an operation for recording a single video frame created from the image multiplexing unit or displaying. A picture frame output unit(400) displays the picture frame. An output image generating unit(500) outputs two selected frames among the single video frame, the picture frame and external image in the form of PIP. An external memory is recognized by a controller through an interface unit. |
