<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the weight of an overall propeller shaft while securing sufficient bonding rigidity of an intermediate member of the propeller shaft and a tube. <P>SOLUTION: The propeller shaft is provided with: a first yoke member 6 comprising an aluminum alloy material; the tube 2 comprising an inner and outer double cylinder fiber reinforcement resin material; the cylindrical iron intermediate member 7 provided between the yoke member 6 and the tube 2; a flange part 7a integrally provided on one end side on the yoke member side of the intermediate member 7; and a serration part 7b which is formed in the intermediate member 7 and to which the tube 2 is serration-coupled.
