<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording and playback device which uses a user's address to limit a user who is permitted to make a mail reservation, thereby preventing the reservation from being deleted/corrected by another user. <P>SOLUTION: A video recorder performing video recording reservation based on an e-mail transmitted from a control terminal connectable with the Internet, includes: a storage section for storing a reservation permitted mail address of the control terminal; and a CPU which extracts a transmission source mail address when a video recording reservation mail from the control terminal is received, and permits the video recording reservation on the basis of a collation between the extracted mail address and the reservation permitted mail address stored in the storage section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
