<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To charge a battery efficiently while traveling in the suburbs, and perform EV traveling in an urban area appropriately. <P>SOLUTION: A control device of a hybrid vehicle is suitably used in a hybrid vehicle having an internal combustion engine, a motor generator, and a battery. The control means sets a control center value of an amount of charge for performing the charge and discharge control of a battery while traveling in the suburbs at a level higher than a level of traveling in an urban area. That is, HV traveling is performed while traveling in the suburbs during which the control center value of the battery is set higher gradually, and control is performed to regenerate the motor generator. Thereby, the battery can be charged efficiently while traveling in the suburbs, and when traveling in an urban area after traveling in the suburbs, EV traveling can be performed in the urban area appropriately. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
