The lever arm (2) is firmly fastened to the shaft or peg at the end of a guide blade (5) for a water turbine. The end of the lever which grasps the shaft or peg is formed as a split ring. There is a narrow slit (1) opposite the end of the lever to which the guide blade actuator is connected. There are bores which may accommodate bolts which draw the split ends of the ring together. There is a broad groove or cutout (4) in the top edge (3) of the ring, which may accommodate a tool for expanding the ring and releasing its grip in the shaft or peg. The shaft or peg may be of circular or oval cross-section.
