A vane driving device comprises vane pressing plates (10) having apertures (11, 61), vanes (20a-20c) for varying the areas of the apertures (11, 61), which have cam grooves (24a-24c) respectively and are so formed as to be elastically deformable, and a drive ring (40) including drive pins (44a-44c) which transmit the power from an electromagnetic actuator (50) to the vanes (20a-20c) and are engaged with the cam grooves (24a-24c) respectively. The drive ring (40) is stopped when the drive pins (44a-44c) contact with one ends (242a) of the cam grooves (24a-24c) respectively, while the vanes (20a-20c) are made into an area-reduced small aperture state.
