The independent element for displaying one video sequence frame is designed in the form of a module which forms a matrix image and comprises a velocity sensor consisting of two light-emitting diodes, a vertical rule of three-colour light-emitting diodes with a control unit in the form of a microcontroller with a microprogram for carrying our self-diagnosis, receiving, storing and transmitting data to a subsequent module or to a control computer, for determining the speed of a transportation means window at the beginning of the travel along the signals of the light emitting diodes and for subsequently automatically synchronising the reproduction start time and the frame display time with respect to a spectator. The computer-assisted display system comprises a row of information carriers arranged along an itinerary, a control processor interconnected to an external control system and a set of modules forming an image on the basis of after-image effect. Each module is a direct and a feedback mode repeater for transmitting instructions and/or data to a subsequent module. The information display method involves displaying information in the window area, carrying out the time-base scanning of a frame matrix image and synchronising the reproduction start time and the frame display time with the window front border and the frame display time with the speed of the window extremity.
