<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop, based on that dendritic cells initiate various responses to different stimuli by expressing various transcription profiles, e.g. IL-2 production by dendritic cells in response to a microbial stimulus, (1) methods of making libraries of gene expression profiles and libraries corresponding to dendritic cell maturation in response to a microbial stimulation, (2) methods for activating lymphocytes or immune responses and methods for producing Il-2 in dendritic cells or preparing dendritic cells for cell-based therapy and (3) methods and systems for screening agents affecting dendritic cell maturation, and to demonstrate that dendritic cells are targets of immunosuppressive virus infections. <P>SOLUTION: Methods for treating immunosuppressive virus infections or immunosuppression associated with immunosuppressive virus infection, and methods for screening candidate therapeutic agents suitable for treating immunosuppressive virus infection by using dendritic cell system, are established. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
