PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reference electrode having an automatic calibration function having a function of keeping, for a long time, the measuring accuracy of the reference electrode used in electrochemical measurement, and an electrochemical potential automatic correction device using it. SOLUTION: This reference electrode comprises an electrode external object having an electrolyte separating film formed at one end and filled with electrode electrolyte solution, and two or more internal electrodes that are installed in the electrode external object, are formed so as to be dipped in the electrode electrolyte solution, and are separated electrically. The reference electrode comprises a reference potential calibration apparatus that applies alternating voltage to the internal electrode, measures the electrical conductivity of electrode electrolyte solution, and outputs a correction signal related to the reference potential variation of the reference electrode. The concentration of the internal electrolyte is calculated by measuring the electrical conductivity of the internal electrolyte of the reference electrode, and the function of the reference electrode can be kept for a long time by appropriately correcting the potential variation of the reference electrode.
