PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of use for characterizing one or a plurality of ligands of an orphan receptor. SOLUTION: A method for inhibiting binding of a ligand selected from the group consisting of IP-10 and Mig to human CXC chemokine receptor 3 (CXCR3) protein is provided. The method includes a process for bringing the CXCR3 protein to contact with an antibody bonded to the CXC chemokine receptor 3 (CXCR3) protein having a pecific amino acid sequence, or an antigen-binding fragment.
