PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly take in a plurality of cards even when handling three or more cards. SOLUTION: In a card processing apparatus 100 taking in the plurality of cards 32 by carrier rollers 7, 8, overlapping the cards 32 and discharging them by the carrier rollers 7, 8 in a lump upon discharging the card, the carrier roller 8 of the carrier rollers 7, 8 is set as a movable roller capable of following a thickness of the cards 32 and being displaced. When newly taking in the plurality of discharged cards 32, a space part 25 is made to be in a state not causing carriage force by separation between carrier rollers 18, 19, all the cards 32 are carried until they pass the carrier rollers 7, 8, and the carried cards 32 are stored in the space part 25.
