<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact radio wave sensor capable of accurately detecting the presence or the moving state of an object to be detected located in front of the sensor using less power. <P>SOLUTION: The radio wave sensor includes: an oscillation circuit 9 for generating a transmission signal; a substrate 1a made of a dielectric material; a grounding electrode 2a for functioning as a ground of the transmission signal formed on one surface of the substrate 1a or the entire surface of the inside; a rectangular transmission electrode 3 formed on the other surface of the substrate 1a and radiating in front of the transmission signal as a radio beam; a rectangular receiving electrode 4 for receiving, as a received signal, a radio beam which is radiated from the transmission electrode 3, collides and is reflected by the object to be detected to return; a detection element 5 connected to the receiving electrode 4 and detecting the received signal received by the received electrode 4; and an output line 6 for outputting the received signal detected by the detection element 5 to the outside.
