<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display apparatus which suppresses occurrence of shakiness of a turning motion of a display screen unit. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal television (the display apparatus) 100 is provided with: a display body 10 which displays a television image; a display screen supporting material 81 which supports the display body 10 possible to be turned in front and rear directions (an arrow mark C direction and a D direction) for a perpendicular plane 300; and a perpendicular turning drive unit 50 (a step motor 52) which makes the display screen supporting material 81 turn in the front and the rear directions of a predetermined angle for the perpendicular plane 300. In both of the state in which the display supporting member 81 is turned in the front side of the perpendicular plane 300 by the perpendicular turning drive unit 50, and the state in which it is turned in the rear side of the perpendicular plane 300, a center of gravity G of the display body 10 is constituted to be located in the rear side of the perpendicular plane 300.
