<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber measuring device can improve a response distance without increasing cost and deteriorating user's convenience, by changing only a pulse width of pulsing light without changing a frequency of the pulsing light entering the optical fiber. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This optical fiber measuring device 1 includes: a laser light source 11 for outputting pulsing light L1 intended to enter an optical fiber 30; a photodetector 15 for receiving back scattered light L2 obtained by allowing the pulsing light L1 output from the laser light source 11 to enter the optical fiber 30; and a duty ratio adjuster 21 for adjusting a duty ratio of the pulsing light L1 output from the laser light source 11, and measures prescribed physical quantities such as a loss in the length direction of the optical fiber 30, a temperature or a strain, based on a received light signal S1 output from the photodetector 15.
